Emma Crosby
Emma Crosby presents GMTV's Morning Programme. Previously she was part of Sky News' presenting team and regularly anchored Sunrise, Sky News Today and Sky News' weekend programming. She has risen rapidly through the broadcasting ranks cutting her teeth on high profile stories making the headlines at home and abroad.
She joined Sky from CNBC Europe, where she presented European Market Wrap. She also had a stint as a reporter for CNBC's flagship breakfast show Squawk Box and presented the early breakfast show Wake Up Call live from Times Square in New York. On joining CNBC in 2001, Emma quickly learnt about complex subjects such as global equity, fixed income and currency markets. In 2003 Emma reported live from Wall Street witnessing one of the biggest crisis in investor confidence as equity markets were knocked to seven year lows.
She began her career as a producer at BBC News 24, followed by spells newsreading at London's Radio News Direct and LBC. In 1999 she joined The Money Channel as a reporter and newsreaderbefore moving to London Tonight and Meridian Tonight as a reporter.
Emma has facilitated at corporate conferences for clients such Standard Bank of South Africa, ING, the Financial Servces Skills Council and Novo Nordisk.
She trained at the University of Cardiff's School of Journalism after gaining a degree at the University of Leeds.
